Boise School District has launched a comprehensive Long-Range Facilities Master Planning process, and our community plays an important role in helping shape it. This effort will serve as a roadmap for future school facility investments, helping ensure our buildings continue to support high-quality learning environments while aligning with current and projected enrollment. As Boise continues to evolve, thoughtful planning today will help ensure our schools are ready for tomorrow.
The facilities plan identifies actionable steps and sets a vision for the future facilities needed to accommodate enrollment and demographic trends, as well as academic programs and instructional delivery models. We often use the analogy of a four-legged stool: the seat represents our facilities, supported by four legs of equal importance.
Community conversations took place September 22–23, 2026. Families, staff and community members were invited to participate in virtual and in-person Long-Range Facilities Master Planning meetings. Participants learned about preliminary concepts, asked questions and shared feedback to help shape the future of our schools.
