Dear Boise School District Parent/Guardian:

Boise School District has created an Exploratory Committee to research and establish criteria for consideration of returning to five days a week in-person learning.  The committee is a joint committee with the District and the Boise Education Association.

The committee is composed of teachers, parents, principals, and school nurses representing all geographical areas of the District, as well as both elementary and secondary schools. The committee is focused on four key areas, including: Data Sources and Tracking, Models of Returning to School, Stakeholder Input, and Logistics. Working groups are meeting weekly to prepare recommendations. Key interests are student and staff safety, predictability, use of reliable data and transparency. The whole group will meet next on February 8 and will report the results to the Board of Trustees.

Sincerely,

Boise School District Administration
